Sex After Pregnancy - Can It Be As Good?

Pregnancy is a wonderful and terrible time. We feel amazing and full and content at times with a wonderful new life inside of us. Then we are throwing up, feeling fat and unattractive, and our hormones going absolutely NUTS! Sex during pregnancy is often the last thing on our minds - but afterwards, once we recover it all comes back, but sex after pregnancy still seems to elude many women, or at least GOOD sex after pregnancy does. One of the reasons for this might be that your vagina is not at tight as it was.
Now, before you roll your eyes, I know that there are MANY things that can affect your sex after pregnancy. Lots of contributing factors such as:
  • Being anxious and nervous after a long time without sex
  • Stress of dealing with children day in day out
  • Being tired because of the stresses of children
  • Your lover might be a little but unsure of your body post-baby
  • You might be depressed about your post-baby body as well
The end result is that your body, and your mind must be both turned on to be able to experience great sex after pregnancy. This is difficult after childbirth as most women can attest to. It might have nothing to do with your lady bits, but it is a part of the overall equation. Great sex needs everything to line up for you and your partner including the physical because:
  • Knowing that we are giving pleasure to you partner gives us MUCH more mental pleasure
  • Sex and enjoyment is largely in the mind, but if we ignore the physical part it will never be as good, and might affect how we are thinking about sex making it poor in both departments.
So what does this mean? Awesome sex after pregnancy needs both to work in tandem, switch on upstairs and downstairs and you will have mind blowing orgasms! First up, let's take a look at the mental state and how to improve that aspect:
  • Make Some Time - Great sex is not spontaneous after you have a kid. You need to make time for it as terrible as it seems. You have to be organised and set aside some time when you will have the right headspace. Late at night, early in the morning, a day on the weekend when the nippers are off at their grand parents place? Find what works for you!

  • Romance - Do not forget this when you are getting in the mood. Just the time will not help, you both need to be in the right mood not thinking you are rushed for time. Create a little romance, it doesn't need to be big and overt, but a little but of extra care in your dress, location, and manners will go a long way!

  • Foreplay - Lots of it! You will need more warming up to take your mind off the day to day activities and get your mind and body ready. Him as well! The more foreplay you do, the better the orgasm as well. Most people skip this part due to not having enough time or being in the right mood, but when all three line up you are ready to go in a great sexual mental state!
